Operating as a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, the Customer Service and Facilities Attendant role is essential in delivering these core values on a daily basis. This role is supervised by the Club Manager, Operations Manager, and the Front Desk/Maintenance coordinator, ensuring a well-rounded support structure for the team member. The individual stepping into this position will be responsible for both front desk reception and maintenance duties, serving as a key interface between the club and its members. The attendant is expected to uphold superior customer service standards, maintain club cleanliness, and address general facility concerns promptly and effectively.

In this dynamic role, the attendant greets and assists members and guests with a smile and professional demeanor, manages check-ins and registrations, and maintains an organized and inviting front desk area. They also provide up-to-date information about club programming, encourage member engagement, and support class and event registrations. Maintenance responsibilities include regular circulation through the club to perform cleaning and upkeep tasks, managing supply inventories, and ensuring locker rooms and leisure areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role additionally supports membership activities by providing tours, answering inquiries, and assisting in the welcome process for new members. Not only does this position require strong multitasking and problem-solving skills, but it also demands physical stamina to perform duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds and handling cleaning and pool chemicals responsibly. The incumbent will be a positive team player with excellent communication skills and a professional appearance who is dedicated to promoting a healthy club environment. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Smile, make eye contact, and greet all members, prospective members, and guests by name in a prompt, friendly and professional manner
  • provide assistance and information to facilitate a positive experience for every member and guest
  • reach out to new members and welcome them into the Parkpoint community
  • check-in members, check account status, and other computer responsibilities
  • register guests and non-members, and collect appropriate fees as needed
  • answer phones in a professional and friendly manner
  • answer questions, take reservations, direct calls to the appropriate staff person or member
  • page and make announcements over the intercom when necessary
  • use the voice mail system when applicable
  • address any member’s concerns in a friendly and pro-active manner, listen empathetically, offer options, and follow up with the appropriate manager
  • maintain a clean, organized, presentable front desk area, lobby and reception area
  • monitor supplies and report needs to your supervisor
  • perform required opening and closing duties per the checklist when scheduled
  • communicate regularly with supervisors and staff to let issues be known
  • provide accurate, up-to-date information about club activities, programs, events and policies
  • promote all club activities through friendly member interactions
  • register members and non-members for classes, pool lanes, childcare and events
  • be responsible for collecting appropriate fees using the club automation system
  • regularly circulate all areas of club to execute all cleaning procedures and follow all club cleaning procedures
  • provide deep cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks when needed or assigned
  • perform regular locker room checks, chemical checks, laundry and general cleaning as assigned
  • stock all areas of the club with appropriate amenities, supplies, and towels
  • keep all supply cabinets neat and organized
  • report to manager when inventory stock is low
  • wash, dry, and fold towels
  • attend to any facility and member issues
  • contact a manager when applicable
  • follow up with the appropriate manager regarding any issues or concerns occurring
  • handle lost and found items according to procedure
  • greet and graciously receive guests, provide basic membership information, and tour prospective members per procedures
  • stay in good communication with the membership department and work with them to welcome and integrate prospects into the club
  • attend all required departmental and all-staff meetings and trainings
  • maintain good relations with all Parkpoint staff
  • know and abide by all club rules and regulations regarding both staff and members
  • report all problems to your supervisor
  • accept and complete any special assignments as needed for club operations
  • present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times
  • dress in full uniform with a name badge
  • assist in training new Front Desk and Maintenance staff when needed
