Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or diploma in pastry arts or baking
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in baking or pastry arts
  • prior experience with cake, cookie, and chocolate decorating
  • exceptional palate and sensory skills
  • able to flex shift start and finish time and work overtime, as required

  • high volume kitchen production experience desired
  • exceptional palate and sensory skills
  • intermediate skill level of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • able to flex shift start and finish time and work overtime, as required

Job Duties

  • Construct high-quality proof of concept samples for new desserts to support innovation and sales, including samples for customer presentation and acceptance
  • stay current on trending desserts and baked goods
  • assist the Development Chefs with developing new products within time, cost, and processing requirements as directed by the Culinary Supervisor
  • provide data for the design and development of product specifications
  • maintain and organize refrigerator and freezer retains, purging on a regular basis
  • ensure quality standards are met throughout the facility and the process
  • help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and office area
  • support continuous improvement and team building with a positive, forward-thinking attitude
