We are currently seeking a full-time Culinary Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Climate Pledge Arena. This role is critical in supporting the kitchen operations by focusing on the maintenance, cleaning, and monitoring of culinary equipment, with special attention to fryer systems and oil management. The Culinary Supervisor ensures all kitchen equipment operates safely and efficiently, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, including cleanliness and sanitation. The hourly pay for this role is $30.45, reflecting the importance of the position within our operational framework. As a Culinary Supervisor at Delaware North, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, equipment functionality, and team collaboration. Your responsibilities will include performing scheduled fryer oil changes and filtration, cleaning fryer components and kitchen equipment areas, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting health inspection readiness. You will work closely with culinary leadership to address and resolve any equipment issues. This position requires strong time management skills, effective communication, and a team-oriented approach.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Experience in commercial kitchen operations or maintenance preferred
  • Basic understanding of fryer systems and kitchen equipment
  • Strong awareness of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial kitchen operations or maintenance preferred
  • Basic understanding of fryer systems and kitchen equipment
  • Strong awareness of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with a team-oriented mindset
  • No degree required

Job Duties

  • Perform scheduled fryer oil changes, filtration, replenishment, and quality monitoring
  • Clean fryer wells, baskets, crumb trays, and surrounding equipment areas
  • Ensure fryers and kitchen equipment are operating safely, efficiently, and as intended after maintenance
  • Monitor kitchen equipment for signs of malfunction or wear and communicate issues to culinary leadership
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with cleanliness, safety, health department, and EcoSure standards
  • Support health inspection readiness through routine equipment checks, sanitation, and upkeep
