About the Role: The Culinary Supervisor position at Aramark is a dynamic and hands-on leadership role within the culinary team. This role requires coordination, planning, participation, and supervision of food production, preparation, and presentation in a designated unit. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will work closely under the guidance of the Aramark Executive Chef to ensure that food quality remains consistent and meets the high standards of the company. Your responsibilities will include maintaining adequate inventory levels, overseeing the proper handling of food products and kitchen equipment, and enforcing stringent food safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an hourly wage of $32.00, reflecting Aramark's recognition of skilled culinary supervisory professionals. Job Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experience managing people and/or problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Possess two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations and work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, handle discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment to maintain food safety and kitchen standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold high sanitation standards at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
