The Culinary Stewarding Supervisor role at Snowbird is a key leadership position within the resort's food and beverage operations. Reporting to the Senior Conference Operations Manager, the stewarding supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment management across all kitchen and banquet facilities. This full-time, hourly position operates year-round and requires working varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position involves supervising dishwashers and support staff, ensuring compliance with health and sanitation guidelines, and collaborating closely with chefs and banquet managers to uphold quality standards during food preparation and event service. Additionally, the role includes assisting with training and development of staff, managing inventory for china, glassware, silverware, and event equipment, as well as coordinating equipment logistics for special events. Job Requirements

  • Must have the ability to interact with guests and employees pleasantly and maintain good working relationships
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must demonstrate competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Must demonstrate ability to multitask and handle staff coordination
  • Must promote teamwork, balance team and individual responsibilities, and support team morale
  • Must be proficient with computers
  • Must adapt to work environment changes and manage competing demands
  • Requires problem solving and initiative within job responsibilities
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards
  • Requires strong understanding of Snowbird operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree in related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence
  • Food Handler Permit
  • Serve Safe certification within 30 days of employment
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic
  • Proficiency in handling kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multitask and direct staff activities
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers

Job Duties

  • Assist in ensuring all Snowbird standards, policies, and procedures are in accordance with the Food and Beverage directives and local health codes
  • Provide directional flow of kitchen during prep and service on events
  • Report to work on time in proper uniform and obey all company rules and regulations
  • Ensure standards of appearance and sanitation are met daily
  • Maintain good safety practices of employees throughout the kitchen
  • Organize details as defined on Banquet Event Orders for execution of conference events
  • Help provide ongoing employee training, rewards, and disciplines as merited
