The role of Culinary Specialist is a crucial customer-facing position designed to bridge the gap between culinary expertise and sales initiatives. This employment opportunity is a contract-based role for a minimum duration of three months, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM. The Culinary Specialist will operate primarily in the Denver, CO area, providing on-site support and leveraging culinary creativity to drive sales success. This position requires a dynamic professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities such as conducting product demonstrations, supporting culinary events, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

The Culinary Specialist will collaborate closely with sales teams to identify customer needs and develop tailored culinary solutions that promote product categories and drive business growth. Responsibilities also include supporting training initiatives through presentations, managing test kitchen or culinary center operations including inventory and sanitation, and ensuring adherence to local and state health regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of executive chef experience in the foodservice industry
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of restaurant operations and food trends
  • Consultative selling and customer engagement experience
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts such as food cost, margins, and profitability
  • Strong business acumen and ability to support sales growth initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with basic math and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and use CRM and proprietary sales tools
  • Flexibility to support events, travel locally, and adjust schedules as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of executive chef experience in the foodservice industry
  • Bachelor's degree or accredited culinary degree preferred
  • 3+ years of foodservice sales or consultative selling experience preferred
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of restaurant operations and food trends

Job Duties
