The company is dedicated to maintaining equal employment opportunities, upholding safety and quality standards, and positively impacting communities and the planet.
The role of a Culinary Manager at Aramark is pivotal in overseeing culinary operations within food service establishments. This position demands a hands-on leadership approach that includes managing kitchen staff, ensuring culinary excellence, maintaining safety compliance, and nurturing client relationships. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Culinary Manager plays an essential role in achieving financial goals and executing corporate initiatives aligned with Aramark's mission. The manager leads daily kitchen activities, supervises and coordinates the team to guarantee efficient service delivery, and upholds consistent quality standards. This role also involves menu and recipe development by forecasting food requirements, selecting and standardizing recipes, and planning menus with attention to presentation techniques and quality benchmarks.
Safety and maintenance form another critical aspect of the Culinary Manager’s responsibilities, ensuring that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and that health and sanitation standards meet regulatory requirements. The role extends to overseeing catering events, providing guidance and culinary instruction to the team, and mentoring junior culinary staff by sharing knowledge and culinary expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a culinary role, preferably with post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience, and a strong understanding of food service principles and practices. This position offers opportunities to contribute creatively within a dynamic environment while helping foster team growth and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Aramark supports its Culinary Managers with a comprehensive benefits package and a culture that emphasizes development, diversity, and excellence.
