Job Requirements

  • Culinary training or degree
  • Current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
  • Current enrollment in the Culinary Arts Program at Saddleback College
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and approval for internship placement through DIAG USA
  • Availability to work 20-24 hours per week including weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Strong passion for culinary arts and hospitality service
  • Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced professional kitchen
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work under the direct supervision of experienced chefs to support daily kitchen operations in assigned area (Banquets or Restaurant)
  • Assist in food preparation, mise en place, and service execution according to Pasea's culinary standards
  • Rotate through prep stations, cold line, hot line, and plating support depending on department needs
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness protocols
  • Participate in catered events, banquet functions, and high-volume restaurant service
  • Track skill progression weekly based on Saddleback's curriculum objectives
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from Chef Mentors during regular evaluations
  • Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to continuous learning
