This role is essential in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by overseeing warehouse employees engaged in receiving products, fulfilling customer orders, and replenishing inventory from manufacturing facilities. The Crewleader I is responsible for managing daily activities, monitoring performance, maintaining safety standards, and finding ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste. This position is a hands-on leadership opportunity that requires technical expertise in warehousing, inventory management, and material handling. Crewleader I duties include assigning tasks to employees, conducting safety checks, reviewing inventory levels, training staff, and ensuring accurate shipment processing. Job Requirements
- high school graduate or GED
- minimum of 3 years of relevant warehouse experience
- ability to perform continuous physical exertion including lifting weights over 50 lbs
- knowledge of safety standards applicable to warehousing
- ability to operate warehouse equipment including lift trucks and table saws
- able to work independently and in a team environment
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of computers including inventory systems, word processing, and spreadsheets

Job Duties
- assign duties to employees and oversees department activities
- conduct employee performance reviews
- perform monthly safety checklist
- work closely with crew to find ways of reducing shipping errors as part of continuous improvement
- train personnel to meet technical level of expertise
- assist employees in resolving problems and advise supervisors of complex problems
- conduct cycle counts and review product usage with supervisor
- receive material from manufacturing facilities and vendors
- review and order warehouse supplies
- check and place materials in correct bin
- check material against the manifest and report discrepancies
- inform supervisor and photograph defective materials
- cut down oversize laminate to fill orders
- read, interpret, process, and pack orders
- create bills of lading for outgoing products
- assist customer needs
