Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a prominent fast-casual restaurant chain recognized globally for its commitment to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food prepared with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded on principles of quality and sustainability, Chipotle operates numerous restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, making it one of the few restaurant companies of its scale to own and operate all its establishments in North America and Europe. Known for its pioneering approach to food and business, Chipotle combines a dedication to fresh, handcrafted food with digital innovation, sustainable practices, and a people-first company culture.

Working at Chipotle means joining a community of passionate individuals dedicated to rewriting the narrative of fast food. The restaurant chain believes food served fast doesn't have to compromise quality or experience. With a mission centered on making better food accessible to everyone, Chipotle continually fosters an environment that encourages learning, career development, and a positive guest experience. Their commitment extends beyond the plate to supporting sustainable farming and food initiatives that shape the future of the food industry.

The opportunity at Chipotle offers much more than a typical job; it is a gateway to a rewarding career in the food service industry. Many employees start with little to no experience but find themselves thriving through exceptional training programs and clear career pathways. Notably, over 80% of Chipotle’s managers were promoted internally, beginning their journeys as crew members. The company prepares food fresh every day in its restaurants without the use of freezers, microwaves, or can openers, emphasizing hand-prepared meals that ensure quality and taste.

Employees receive comprehensive training across various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo, building confidence and skills in multiple areas. The role is ideal for individuals with diverse backgrounds such as dishwashing, serving, cooking, or no prior experience at all, but with a passion for serving customers and being part of a dynamic team. Chipotle values enthusiasm, a friendly attitude, and the desire to learn and grow within the company.

In addition to personal and professional growth, Chipotle provides an attractive benefits package including tuition assistance, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, digital tips, competitive compensation, and opportunities for both full and part-time employment. These benefits underline the company’s dedication to employee well-being and its commitment to fostering a supportive work environment.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion at every level of the organization. It actively fosters a workplace where all individuals receive respect, have equal opportunities for advancement, and can realize their full potential regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. Commitment to fair employment practices and accommodation for qualified applicants with disabilities demonstrates the company's dedication to creating an inclusive and accessible hiring process.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a revolutionary dining experience and a company that stands for sustainability, responsibility, and excellence in fast casual. Whether you are seeking your first job or a long-term career in the food service industry, Chipotle offers a unique and fulfilling environment to grow, learn, and contribute to a better world through food.
