Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain with a mission to cultivate a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle operates across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. It distinguishes itself as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, ensuring consistent quality and values across its locations. The company’s core commitment lies in making better food accessible to everyone while continuously integrating technological advancements, digital innovations, and sustainable business practices to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Chipotle fosters a culture that emphasizes people-first values, diversity, and inclusion. As an equal opportunity employer, it is dedicated to cultivating a workplace where every individual is treated with respect and given the opportunity to realize their full potential regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law. The company actively supports reasonable accommodations to ensure all qualified applicants can participate fully in the hiring process.

The role at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity to join a team that reimagines fast food with a focus on quality, care, and community impact. Employees in the restaurant start with a foundational training regime that empowers them to confidently handle various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo without reliance on freezers, microwaves, or can openers. This hands-on, authentic food preparation experience is integral to the Chipotle brand. Beyond the technical skills, Chipotle values enthusiasm, friendliness, and passion for serving others, whether customers or fellow team members, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere customers enjoy.

Many team members at Chipotle begin with no formal experience in the food industry yet find rewarding careers with clear and supportive advancement pathways. Notably, over 80% of managers were promoted from within starting as crew, showcasing the company’s commitment to internal growth and career development. Employees benefit from extensive training, competitive compensation, and a suite of comprehensive benefits. Full-time and part-time positions are available, accommodating a broad range of schedules and life circumstances.

Beyond the immediate workplace, Chipotle's mission intersects with broader industry efforts to shift the future of farming and food systems, highlighting its dedication to sustainability and responsible sourcing. Employees are not just part of a restaurant; they are members of a community working together to make a positive impact on food accessibility and environmental stewardship. Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a pioneering food service company that values genuine care in every aspect and continuously strives to shape what comes next in fast, fresh, and flavorful food.
