Job Requirements

  • Minimum culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • extensive hands-on cooking experience in Mediterranean cuisine
  • previous experience leading a high-volume kitchen
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and lifting up to 45 pounds
  • excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • availability to work in a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Lead from the front with hands-on cooking
  • create, evolve, and execute a seasonal Mediterranean-inspired menu
  • cook different, exciting, and delicious food every day
  • plan and direct all food preparation and kitchen operations
  • manage food and labor costs, inventory, ordering, and waste control
  • recruit, train, develop, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
  • uphold uncompromising standards for food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality
  • maintain strong relationships with farmers, fishers, foragers, and purveyors
  • handle volume and pressure with confidence, calm, and finesse
  • put the final touch on every plate leaving the kitchen
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
