The Cost Control Manager role at Hyatt Regency San Francisco is an exciting opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals to take on a leadership position overseeing the property’s inventory and receiving functions. This position ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of inventory control that supports Food & Beverage and other operational departments. The manager will spearhead cost control initiatives, supervise storeroom staff, and implement inventory tracking systems essential for maximizing operational efficiency. This salaried role offers a competitive compensation range of $61,800 to $86,600.

Responsibilities include leading the implementation of a perpetual food inventory system that provides precise control over inventory levels, managing a new guest and events packaging program to ensure smooth operations, and overseeing receiving operations and dock organization to maintain a safe, orderly environment. The Cost Control Manager will also engage with waste sorting and recycling efforts, identifying cost-saving opportunities through vendor partnerships such as Avendra by optimizing purchasing strategies and drop sizes. Additionally, this role supports Food & Beverage and Housekeeping departments as needed and offers management assistance to the Stewarding team during leadership absences.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in hotel operations
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within Rooms and Food & Beverage Division
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, and food & Beverage
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems efficiently
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead the implementation and management of a perpetual food inventory system
  • Launch and oversee a new guest and events packaging program
  • Supervise storeroom attendants including scheduling and payroll management
  • Determine and adjust staffing levels based on operational needs
  • Ensure proper execution of receiving operations including delivery verification
  • Maintain dock organization and cleanliness
  • Provide oversight to waste sorting and recycling vendor
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through Avendra
  • Manage purchasing drop sizes to maximize pricing efficiencies
  • Support Food & Beverage and Housekeeping ordering functions
  • Provide management support to Stewarding department as needed
