Job Description

Sethi Management is a family-owned, second-generation investment, real estate development, and hospitality management company based in Carlsbad, California. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Sethi Management has grown into an award-winning organization that currently operates a portfolio of 14 hotels. The company focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining high brand audit scores, and fostering a loyal and long-tenured team. At the core of Sethi's philosophy is a commitment to its people — prioritizing their needs, growth, and well-being alongside business performance and profits. This creates a unique culture grounded in humility, care, excellence, and transparency, where employees, partners, and guests feel valued and connected. Led by CEO Ganisha Sethi and COO Mohsen Khaleghi, Sethi Management is embarking on an innovative new chapter, blending operational excellence with a human-centered approach to hospitality.

The Corporate Director of Operations role is a full-time leadership position reporting directly to the COO. This role is ideal for a hospitality operator who thrives in managing multi-property operations and is passionate about evolving the industry through thoughtful innovation. The Director of Operations will play a crucial role in enabling Sethi’s strategic vision by overseeing operational leadership, strategic forecasting, people leadership, and sales strategy across the company’s diverse hotel portfolio. With a hands-on approach, this leader will support general managers and executive teams to uphold and elevate standards of performance, guest satisfaction, and brand integrity. The role demands a leader who values both operational rigor and compassionate people management. The Director will be instrumental in redefining hospitality norms, improving compensation structures, and reducing turnover through sustainable practices that benefit both employees and the company’s long-term success.

Beyond day-to-day operational oversight, the Director of Operations is a strategic partner helping anticipate market shifts, financial trends, and workforce dynamics while fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and community. Embracing conscious leadership, this role supports the development of a robust leadership pipeline and shared organizational ownership. The Director will also collaborate closely on investor relations, financial stewardship, and growth initiatives aimed at ensuring consistent 10% annual returns to investors while exploring new development and acquisition opportunities. This comprehensive role is not only about managing hotels but about leading a community dedicated to hospitality that changes lives. Based in Carlsbad, CA, relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate. Compensation includes a base salary up to $200,000, annual performance bonuses, profit-sharing opportunities, 401(k) plans, travel perks, and a culture deeply committed to employee growth and wellbeing.
