Located in Bend, Oregon, Mt. Bachelor is a premier ski resort operated by the POWDR Corporation, known for its commitment to delivering memorable experiences and exceptional customer service. Bachelor is currently hiring for multiple cook positions ranging from Cook 1 (Prep Cook) to Cook 3 (Lead Cook) across all lodge locations, including base lodges and the mid-mountain Pine Marten Lodge at 7,800 feet. These roles involve preparing food in a variety of service styles including full-service sit-down restaurants, cafeterias, bars, and coffee shops. The cooking positions call for experienced individuals who are career-oriented, creative, and eager to expand their culinary expertise while maintaining rigorous safety and hygiene standards. Job Duties
- Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process in a timely manner
- Has strong abilities in all applicable cooking techniques and practices, including knife skills
- Be familiar with all menu items, products, sides, dressings, sauces, toppings, garnishes, and food allergies
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Ability to work multiple stations in an outlet, food prep, and complete station set up in a timely manner
- Must be able to expedite the production line during the service period
- Prepare food according to specifications and adhere to portioning
- Take responsibility for product freshness and quality
- Operate kitchen equipment safely
- Follow proper food labeling, organization, sanitation, and food rotation
- Cross-train on multiple stations and support kitchen functions
- Maintain professional and personable appearance
- Accurately clock in and out
- Complete tasks assigned by supervisor
