Based just outside Madison, Wisconsin, Epic's campus is a uniquely themed environment designed to foster productivity and creativity, offering a perfect blend of office spaces, conference rooms, and cozy lounges. The company prides itself on its inclusive culture, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and its role as an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Madison area is a vibrant community, recognized as the second fastest-growing market for tech talent in the United States, surrounded by scenic waters and renowned for its green initiatives, affordability, and opportunities for young professionals. The city has received numerous accolades such as the greenest city in America by NerdWallet, the best city for renters by SmartAsset, and the fittest city in America by Fitbit. This ensures employees enjoy a high quality of life both professionally and personally.
This culinary position at Epic offers a unique and exciting opportunity to work alongside talented culinary professionals to compose and prepare scratch-made dishes in a dynamic, ever-changing kitchen environment. Starting at $25.00 per hour, this role offers competitive compensation with eligibility for annual raises and bonuses, emphasizing career growth and recognition of impact. The position is a daytime role with Monday through Friday hours, typically from 7 am to 3 pm, supporting a balanced lifestyle. Employees also benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including zero co-pay health insurance, dental, vision, generous paid time off, and more. This supportive work environment encourages creativity by regularly changing menus and exploring innovative dishes with a strong focus on health and sustainability.
Employees will experience a wide variety of culinary challenges, from refining traditional recipes to inventing completely new ones. The position offers the chance to move between various venues over time, gaining hands-on experience with different equipment, styles, and cuisines. This versatility extends to catering events hosted by Epic, providing additional culinary exposure and skill development. The role encourages ownership and autonomy, allowing chefs to be fully responsible for the preparation and presentation of their dishes from start to finish. Beyond the kitchen, Epic offers extraordinary perks, including affordable living in the thriving Madison area, restaurant-quality meals at a low cost, a unique sabbatical program granting four weeks off after five years of service to explore the world, and stock grants that provide employees with a stake in the company’s success.
Epic’s dedication to creating a positive and inclusive workspace extends beyond culinary roles, with a keen emphasis on teamwork, innovation, and making impactful contributions to global healthcare. The role requires relocating to the Madison area, with relocation assistance provided to ensure a smooth transition. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and willing to adhere to COVID-19 vaccination protocols. Epic is committed to creating a diverse workforce, recognizing that inclusive teams design the best software and solutions. Joining Epic means becoming part of a company that values creativity, variety, ownership, and meaningful work that contributes to the future of healthcare delivery.
