This opportunity is a full-time culinary position at The Edison, a captivating dining and entertainment venue located in Disney Springs, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Edison is celebrated for its 1920s-inspired glamorous and innovative ambiance, blending inventive American cuisine with live music and specialty handcrafted cocktails. As a member of the culinary team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality food prepared with precision and care, adhering strictly to food safety standards, equipment operation protocols, and sanitation regulations. You will be responsible for preparing menu items according to portion sizes, quality standards, and recipes, maintaining food freshness, and ensuring proper storage and packaging. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift in moderate to high noise levels
  • Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in variable temperature environments

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
  • Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines
