The role of Cook at Summit's Santa Fe, New Mexico location within the Penitentiary of New Mexico correctional facility offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a motivated and energetic kitchen staff in a demanding but rewarding environment. This full-time, onsite position emphasizes the preparation of scratch-cooked meals in a high-volume setting, requiring precision, speed, and adherence to safety standards. As a Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring quality and portion control, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and creatively presenting food while following strict safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes.

Job Requirements
- At least one years’ experience in a culinary role in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools
- Customer service experience
- Passing criminal background check
- Successful pre-employment drug screening
Job Qualifications
- At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
- Customer service experience is required
- Food handlers’ certification is a plus
