The role of a Cook at Summit in Reidsville, North Carolina, is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about preparing and serving high-quality meals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This full-time, onsite position is part of the corrections segment, where teamwork and efficiency are paramount. You will collaborate closely with a motivated, energetic kitchen staff to deliver meals that meet strict quality standards and adhere to proper food handling policies.

As a Cook, your responsibilities will include quality and portion control, food preparation, creative food presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You will ensure that food is stored properly to comply with health and safety regulations and follow all procedures and recipes to uphold consistent standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume foodservice environment with a focus on scratch cooking. Knowledge of culinary methods, techniques, and standards is essential, along with strong customer service skills. Experience in operating various kitchen equipment and tools is necessary, and candidates who hold a food handlers' certification will be given preference.

Compensation for this role ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, reflecting the level of skill and experience required.
