The Cook Supervisor role at Summit in Albany, Oregon, is a full-time, onsite position within the Corrections segment. This role is crucial in coordinating and supervising culinary staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of food quality in a fast-paced, demanding environment. With a compensation range of $20 to $22 per hour, the Cook Supervisor will lead kitchen personnel, train employees on food service and sanitation standards, and oversee meal preparation to meet strict appearance, portion, and temperature guidelines. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of culinary experience in a quality, high-volume setting, emphasizing scratch cooking techniques. They will demonstrate thorough knowledge of culinary methods, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in team supervision and the capacity to provide excellent customer service in a dynamic setting are essential.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
  • ensuring meal services begin on time
  • ensuring portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
  • supervising kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and adherence to established standards
  • coordinating work schedules and tasks among culinary employees
  • monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
  • maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
