Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of culinary experience in a high volume establishment
- proven experience in a supervisory role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to instruct and train staff effectively
- strong multitasking and organizational skills
- ability to work full-time onsite
- willingness to work in a corrections environment
Job Qualifications
- At least one year prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
- excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
- experience supervising a team
- high-level product knowledge
- ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service
- food handlers certification preferred
Job Duties
- Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
- ensuring meal services begin on time
- ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
- supervising kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and adherence to standards
- coordinating daily kitchen operations to meet established meal schedules
- monitoring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- addressing and resolving any operational issues in the kitchen promptly
