The position available is for a full-time Cook at Avamere at Las Vegas, located at 6031 West Cheyenne Avenue. This role demands weekend availability and offers an hourly wage of 17 to 19 dollars depending on experience. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines designed specifically for an assisted living setting. This role is crucial in ensuring that all meals served to residents meet the highest standards of food quality, proper portioning, and safety. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting special diets as prescribed by healthcare professionals, contributing to the overall satisfaction and well-being of the residents.

In this role, the Cook will meticulously inspect diet trays, collaborate closely with the facility dietician, and process dietary changes as communicated by Nursing Services to ensure the health needs of residents are met without compromise. Coordination with other departments is essential to maintain seamless food service operations and ensure the availability of food and supplies for each meal. Menus must be carefully maintained and reviewed before food preparation to guarantee compliance with nutritional standards and resident preferences.

This position requires someone with experience in cooking large quantities of food, knowledge of food preparation procedures, and adherence to sanitation and food safety guidelines. The Cook will contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment and assist in serving meals in a timely manner as needed.   • Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance and in accordance with established portion control procedures on a timely basis

  • Ensure that menus are maintained and reviewed prior to preparation of food
