We are currently hiring for the 2026 Spring and Summer Seasons, with a variety of shifts available including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. This flexibility allows individuals to find a work schedule that best suits their lifestyle while being part of a dynamic team at the best lagoons in the country. The position we are seeking to fill is for a Cook, an essential role that serves as the face of the food and beverage operations to our guests. This role is stationed within a food truck environment where the cook prepares and serves a limited menu, utilizing various cooking equipment like ovens and deep fryers to deliver delicious meals efficiently.

As a Cook at MetroLagoons, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked station ensuring all supplies are readily available for service. Preparation duties include chopping vegetables, making pizzas, assembling sandwiches, preparing sauces, and other essential culinary tasks. Maintaining high standards of sanitation, timely food preparation, and presentation quality is critical in this role. The individual must adhere strictly to food safety guidelines, including proper temperature monitoring, allergy protocols, and sanitation regulations, to ensure guests enjoy their meals safely and with satisfaction.

The role demands a professional and positive demeanor, fostering a pleasant atmosphere for both coworkers and guests. Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather elements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work indoors in a high-temperature environment while standing for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Food & beverage safety certifications (training/certification provided if needed)
  • Outstanding communication, customer service, and cash handling skills preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Focus or other POS a plus
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather elements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Clean, organize, stock, and maintain stations with all required supplies
  • Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping vegetables, making pizzas, assembling sandwiches, preparing sauces
  • Thoroughly clean the station and manage leftover food appropriately
  • Maintain inventory levels as needed
  • Ensure dishes are served simultaneously, meeting high-quality standards and timely service
  • Adhere to sanitation regulations as well as safety and appearance guidelines
  • Ensure proper food safe temperatures, utilizing thermometers and logs
  • Keep up-to-date on all food ingredients and follow internal policies referring to food allergies
  • Follow and report on instructions provided by the management team
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with coworkers and customers
  • Other duties as assigned
