Job Description

Weatherly Inn is a family-owned senior living community dedicated to delivering excellence in memory care and resident-centered support. Renowned for its compassionate approach and a warm, professional environment, Weatherly Inn prioritizes high-quality care tailored to the needs of seniors and those with memory impairments. The community works closely with families to ensure that each resident receives personalized attention and support in a setting that feels like home. The focus on resident well-being is reflected in every aspect of the community’s operations, from healthcare services to dining experiences.

Weatherly Inn is currently hiring a PM Cook to join its Food Service department. This role is vital for maintaining the high standards of nutrition and meal quality that residents expect. The PM Cook will work a schedule from Saturday to Wednesday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including some holidays, with a competitive pay range of $22.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience. The position reports directly to the Food Services Director and Administrator, ensuring close collaboration within the food services team. Full-time employees working over 30 hours per week enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and paid time off (PTO).

The PM Cook at Weatherly Inn plays a crucial role in preparing and serving nutritious and visually appealing evening meals to residents. This position not only requires culinary skill but also a dedication to food safety, proper portion control, and effective kitchen operations. The successful candidate will assist with noon meal preparations as needed, help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensure proper labeling and storage to reduce waste. Responsibilities also include recording refrigerator and freezer temperatures consistently to comply with safety standards.

This role demands a committed, reliable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, balancing multiple tasks efficiently. The PM Cook is an essential team member who supports resident satisfaction through attentive meal preparation and presentation. Additionally, the cook will occasionally assist with food ordering and inventory management, serving as a backup to the Food Services Director. This opportunity is ideal for someone with relevant cooking experience in healthcare or senior living settings who values working in a supportive and well-organized community environment.

Weatherly Inn upholds a strong Equal Employment Opportunity policy, hiring and promoting associates without discrimination. This position offers a rewarding chance to contribute to a vital aspect of senior living care, enhancing residents' daily lives through quality meals and diligent food service practices. If you have a passion for culinary excellence and care for the senior community, this role at Weatherly Inn provides not only competitive compensation and benefits but also a fulfilling career path in a respected senior living setting.
