Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State/Local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to easily lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner

  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly individuals
  • Previous dementia care experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • Assist the Culinary Services Coordinator in managing food service functions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable food service environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrate tact, sensitivity, and professionalism in all interactions
  • Support residents with dietary restrictions and special needs
  • Participate in employee appreciation events and contribute to a positive workplace culture
