Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of an approved sanitation and safety course within 60 days
- able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- able to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- able to stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods
- able to work assigned schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- must live in service area
- ability to work around food and cleaning products
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of an approved sanitation and safety course within 60 days
- specialized training in foodservice is desirable
- general knowledge of nutrition
- ability to read and apply requirements of food tray cards
- written and oral communication skills
- knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques
- experience working in quantity food production environments
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food including texture modified and therapeutic diets according to the facility menu
- prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines
- follow established policies and procedures to ensure quality food service
- assist in proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
- assist dietary aides as necessary and direct other employees in absence of the Dining Services Director
- read, speak and understand English, follow directions and complete tasks
- maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
