Working as a Cook at Aramark involves preparing a variety of foods according to production guidelines and standardized recipes. You will set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing items by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling as needed. Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers is a key part of the role, along with using a variety of cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to create meals from meat, vegetables, and other foods.

Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • able to lift, bend, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods
  • willing to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
