Job Requirements
- Minimum six months previous food service experience
- Ability to comply with safe food practices and licensing standards
- Physical ability to handle food preparation and kitchen duties
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts
- Commitment to teamwork and quality service
Job Qualifications
- Six months previous food service experience
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Six months professional training at a culinary school preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and batch cooking preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare, season, and cook foods for patients, staff, and visitors
- Determine food waste and ensure no overproduction
- Comply with safe food practices based on departmental policies and licensing standards
- Follow therapeutic diet guidelines and batch cooking procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Assist with inventory management and food storage
- Collaborate with dietary staff to meet patient-specific nutritional needs
