Job Requirements

  • Minimum six months previous food service experience
  • Ability to comply with safe food practices and licensing standards
  • Physical ability to handle food preparation and kitchen duties
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Commitment to teamwork and quality service

Job Qualifications

  • Six months previous food service experience
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Six months professional training at a culinary school preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and batch cooking preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, season, and cook foods for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Determine food waste and ensure no overproduction
  • Comply with safe food practices based on departmental policies and licensing standards
  • Follow therapeutic diet guidelines and batch cooking procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Assist with inventory management and food storage
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to meet patient-specific nutritional needs
