The company’s mission is to have a remarkable and positive impact on people’s lives worldwide by enhancing health outcomes and providing life-changing therapies. With its commitment to integrity, innovation, and community service, AbbVie operates as an equal opportunity employer supporting diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for all employees.

Joining AbbVie’s Foodservice Team means becoming part of a collaborative environment that values teamwork, initiative, and dedication to excellent guest service. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient daily food preparation and service in a fast-paced cafeteria setting. This includes a wide range of duties such as opening and setting up the kitchen stations, preparing hot and cold food items including breakfast and lunch menus, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The position requires active participation during meal services, managing workflow with batch cooking and replenishing food items while addressing special requests from guests.

The role is integral to maintaining the quality and quality consistency of food served, ensuring that all meals are timely and meet AbbVie's standards. Attention to cleanliness and safety is paramount, with responsibilities to keep workstations, tools, and equipment sanitized, rotate food supplies properly, and comply with all workplace and food safety regulations. Employees must also be proactive team players, flexible, and able to adapt to change positively in a dynamic work environment.

AbbVie offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees including paid time off (vacation, holidays, and sick leave), medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. The position also offers eligibility to participate in short-term incentive programs. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual factors, and it is subject to company discretion according to applicable laws. AbbVie encourages all qualified applicants to apply, including veterans and individuals with disabilities, and provides reasonable accommodations when requested.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, prior cooking experience particularly with eggs, sauces, casseroles, sandwiches, and volume production techniques such as batch cooking. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to follow instructions and utilize foodservice and ordering systems like GFS, and must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
