As a Cook at Aramark, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods using standardized recipes and production guidelines. The job involves setting up your workstation with necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling, and using an array of utensils safely, including knives. You will operate cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers, utilizing different cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to produce high-quality dishes from meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. Presentation is key, as you will arrange, garnish, and portion food products following established standards. Maintaining food safety is paramount, which involves proper storage, sanitation, and adherence to relevant food safety policies and procedures. Your role also includes cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude toward guests and coworkers, and securing company assets. The position may require physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, as well as the use of personal protective equipment and uniforms.
