Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years cooking experience in the food service industry
- Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire via approved TXDSHS licensed provider
- Ability to work various and rotating shifts
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and regulatory compliance
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- Two plus years of experience in cooking within the food service industry
- Food Handlers Certification obtained within 30 days of hire through an approved TXDSHS licensed program/provider
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited program, college, or university is preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items including meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and cold foods following recipes and correct cooking techniques
- Set up work stations with necessary supplies for menu service
- Cook 'to order' foods by request using appropriate cooking methods and techniques
- Maintain a sanitary work environment by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, surfaces, equipment, and cooking tools
- Serve and store food following proper temperature maintenance and safe food handling practices including HACCP and Code Compliance
- Operate commercial food service equipment safely and accurately
- Work independently with minimal oversight
