Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years cooking experience in the food service industry
  • Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire via approved TXDSHS licensed provider
  • Ability to work various and rotating shifts
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and regulatory compliance
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Two plus years of experience in cooking within the food service industry
  • Food Handlers Certification obtained within 30 days of hire through an approved TXDSHS licensed program/provider
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited program, college, or university is preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of food items including meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and cold foods following recipes and correct cooking techniques
  • Set up work stations with necessary supplies for menu service
  • Cook 'to order' foods by request using appropriate cooking methods and techniques
  • Maintain a sanitary work environment by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, surfaces, equipment, and cooking tools
  • Serve and store food following proper temperature maintenance and safe food handling practices including HACCP and Code Compliance
  • Operate commercial food service equipment safely and accurately
  • Work independently with minimal oversight
