The Cook position at Hotel Eleo provides a unique opportunity for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about food and eager to grow within a dynamic team setting. This role involves assisting the Chef in the preparation and fabrication of food products across kitchen operations including cafeteria service, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining environments. The successful candidate will be creative, motivated, and dedicated to honing their culinary talents. They will gain experience in various cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, and frying, and will learn essential kitchen skills including knife use and the operation of standard kitchen equipment. Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining
  • Maintain a passive leadership role in maintaining adequate production level from kitchen staff
  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, sauté and fry
  • Use knives and various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Recreate recipes consistently
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including chopping vegetables and cutting meat
  • Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure proper storage of all food and items
  • Responsible for the quality of ingredients
