Working primarily on weekends with varying shifts, team members will receive more detailed schedules during the interview process.

As a Cook I at Sodexo within the Kessler Institute setting, you play a vital role in preparing and presenting a diverse array of hot and cold food items according to Sodexo's culinary standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and safety. The position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment where efficiency and attention to detail are paramount. The cook is responsible for following recipes precisely, seasoning and cooking dishes, estimating production needs, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to walk and stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift moderately heavy items. It suits individuals comfortable with a dynamic environment where teamwork and adherence to safety and food handling regulations are essential. The Cook I supports Sodexo's commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience, contributing positively to both the culinary team and the overall atmosphere of the healthcare facility.

Beyond the immediate duties, Sodexo provides opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career progression. Employees benefit from a flexible and supportive workplace that values work-life balance and offers a comprehensive range of benefits. From paid time off and medical coverage to tuition reimbursement and discounts, Sodexo aims to enhance the wellbeing of its workforce alongside its operational excellence.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma or GED and up to two years of related experience who are eager to grow in a professional culinary environment. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic food preparation is preferred, as is the ability to follow instructions independently. The role underscores Sodexo's dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunity, making it a welcoming place for diverse talent.
