Job Requirements

  • active food handler’s certification or ability to get it
  • willingness to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to be on feet for long periods of time
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • at least 21 years of age

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • assist the chef in production and fabrication of food products
  • maintain adequate production level from kitchen staff
  • develop knowledge and skills in various cooking methods including grill, sauté and fry
  • prepare ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • ensure proper storage of all food and kitchen items
  • support menu creation reflecting seasonal availability and restaurant concept
