As a Cook, the successful candidate will be responsible for cooking meals in quantities appropriate to the menu and number of patients served, baking breads and pastries, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, managing food inventory using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method, and assisting in receiving and stocking food deliveries. Additionally, the role requires keeping accurate records related to meal production, usage, and temperature logs. This position requires physical stamina, as the Cook will be expected to safely lift weights of at least 40 pounds and operate kitchen equipment efficiently. A valid driver's license, SERV Safe Certification, and the ability to pass required screenings including pre-employment drug testing, background checks, and TB tests are essential.

Job Requirements
- Must lift at least 40 pounds and use kitchen equipment safely
- complete a pre-employment drug screening including marijuana testing
- pass a comprehensive background check
- pass a TB test
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- prefer one year of experience in a restaurant or a related cooking setting
- valid driver’s license and insurability
- Serv Safe certification
Job Duties
- Cook meals in quantities according to the menu and number of people served
- bake bread, rolls, pastries, and prepare desserts
- clean carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors
- develop, compile, and maintain food records regarding meal count, usage, production, and temperature logs
- help inventory supplies and equipment
- refill, stock, and rotate food items using the FIFO method
- assist in checking in and putting away deliveries from food vendors
- break down boxes and dump trash as needed
- perform other related duties as assigned
