The company's mission is to create an enjoyable and engaging environment for both employees and customers by fostering a fun and supportive workplace culture that values quality, creativity, and community engagement.
Located in Lansing, MI, Creative Dining Services is currently seeking a skilled and personable Cook to join their dining services team at Auto Owners. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work full-time with a stable schedule, specifically a dayshift from approximately 6am to 2:30pm, without the need for nights or weekends, making it ideal for candidates seeking work-life balance. This role demands someone organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining high quality standards.
This position involves planning, prepping, and preparing a variety of food items according to established recipes and menus. The Cook will utilize batch cooking techniques to ensure accurate production volumes, optimizing food waste and inventory management. Attention to safe food handling, proper holding, and storage methods are important responsibilities for maintaining food quality and safety standards. The Cook will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, supporting fellow kitchen staff in completing essential functions throughout the shift.
Additional duties include removal of refuse as needed, managing stock by putting away and pulling ingredients or supplies, and demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations. The Cook’s role is crucial in helping Creative Dining Services deliver exceptional dining experiences to their diverse clientele.
Creative Dining Services values its employees and provides a competitive compensation package with bonus opportunities. Full-time employees enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, paid time off, and paid holidays, among other benefits.
