The role is for a full-time Cook position located at Fidelity, 100 New Millennium Way, Durham, NC. This position offers a competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $26.00 based on experience, along with compelling benefits such as free meals at select locations, uniform and laundering services, and various insurance and wellness programs. The schedule starts at 6:00 am, with days and hours potentially varying, providing flexibility and opportunities for advancement.

As a Cook at Flik Hospitality Group, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in line with federal, state, and corporate standards, following standardized recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and satisfaction. Your duties will include serving meals that meet portion control and presentation standards, tasting food products to maintain quality, and adhering to safety and hygiene procedures including proper food storage and kitchen cleanliness. You will operate and maintain kitchen equipment, assist with production planning, inventory management, and the ordering and receiving of food and supplies. Collaborating effectively with coworkers, managers, and administrators, you will be an integral part of a team focused on delivering an exceptional dining experience to clients and guests.

This position emphasizes safety, providing training on the use of protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and slip-resistant shoes, and requires adherence to company policies to maintain a clean, safe work environment. Job Requirements

  • Previous catering and cooking experience required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature with appealing presentation
  • Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Assists in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Follows all company policies regarding safety and hygiene
