Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of prior culinary experience in a restaurant or healthcare setting
  • Ability to work varying full-time schedule including weekends
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning and at appropriate temperatures
  • Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Abides by company policies on safety equipment and procedures
