Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training
  • good communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • willingness to occasionally travel to different locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • technical school training preferred
  • minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
  • strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of kitchen appliance cleaning and maintenance
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • understanding of portion control and food presentation
  • commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful environment

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees
  • prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes
  • plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions
  • assist other kitchen staff as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • ensure that sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared
  • communicate with supervisor of shortages or outages
  • ensure freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served
  • stock and clean station for next shift
  • follow proper food rotation policies
  • consistently maintain a positive attitude which supports a team environment
  • promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests
  • maintain safety including universal precautions and safe work practices
  • clean and inspect kitchen appliances and work areas
  • present professional appearance by wearing uniform and name tag
