The position of Cook at Gate Gourmet San Francisco (Unit 1035) is an essential role within the culinary team responsible for preparing and cooking various food items according to established recipes and standards. The Cook collaborates closely with Hot Food leadership to monitor production quality and efficiency while adhering to safety and sanitation regulations. This role requires a motivated, engaged individual who can work well both independently and as part of a team in a high volume institutional catering environment. The Cook assembles equipment to airline specifications, prepares and packages beverages, documents inventory, and helps maintain cleanliness and compliance with sanitation and customer standards. Job Requirements
- Handle various food products such as seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables
- handle knives and kitchen tools properly
- work assigned schedule which may vary and could include weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree and/or cook certification is preferred
- at least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment is preferred
- experience with maintaining temperature logs for all food items prepared
- recipe conversion experience required to accommodate the kitchen’s daily production needs

Job Duties
