We are currently seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. This position operates from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM and offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $20.50 to $24.09 per hour. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for preparing both hot and cold food items that support various foodservice operations including patient dining, retail foodservice, cafeteria services, catering, and central production. The role requires strict adherence to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety standards to ensure the highest quality food preparation and service.
In this fast-paced healthcare foodservice environment, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining food quality, sanitation, infection prevention, and workplace safety. The Food Service Worker will manage safe food preparation, cooking, holding, cooling, reheating, and service activities. Emphasis is placed on supporting an efficient workflow for food production while delivering exceptional service for patients, staff, visitors, and customers. Candidates with prior experience in food production, culinary, restaurant, hospitality, institutional, healthcare, or related food service fields are preferred.
The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and Food Handler certification accredited by ANSI must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already held. There is no requirement for specific licensures in the state of Florida for this role.
