The Hybrid Cook / Front Counter Team Member position at Pho Sho is designed for enthusiastic individuals who can seamlessly operate both in the kitchen and at the front counter. This hybrid role demands versatility, combining food preparation and cooking with customer service duties, including taking guest orders and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. With a pay rate starting at $15 per hour plus tips, candidates can expect to earn between $18 and $20 per hour depending on shift tips. The schedule requires weekend and evening availability, along with flexibility to accommodate the business needs. Working evening shifts on weekends is a key part of the role, reflecting the restaurant's peak hours.
In the kitchen, team members will prepare recipes adhering strictly to Pho Sho’s standards, plate and package food efficiently, maintain food safety and sanitation practices, and keep their workstations clean and stocked. Additional responsibilities include assisting with ingredient prep, receiving deliveries, and inventory management. On the front counter, the role involves welcoming guests warmly, accurately taking and processing orders via a POS system, answering menu questions, making recommendations, coordinating with the kitchen for timely service, and keeping the front and dining areas appealing and organized.

Job Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working both front and back of house
- Weekend and evening availability is mandatory
- Food service experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Pho Sho recipes and standards
- Assemble, plate, and package food with speed and consistency
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, dating, and FIFO procedures
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation
- Assist with prep, receiving deliveries, and inventory as needed
- Greet every guest with friendly, enthusiastic hospitality
- Take food orders accurately using the POS system
- Answer menu questions and make recommendations
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure fast, accurate service
- Keep the front counter and dining area clean, organized, and welcoming
