You will set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling, safely use kitchen utensils including knives, and operate cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. The role requires proficiency in various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods. Presentation skills are essential, as you will arrange, garnish, and portion food properly according to established guidelines. Furthermore, adherence to food safety policies is mandatory, ensuring proper food storage and rigorous cleaning and sanitization of work areas and equipment.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
