The role of Cook at Aramark is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about cooking and food preparation. This position goes beyond simple kitchen tasks by immersing cooks in a dynamic environment where fresh ingredients, innovative cooking styles, and creativity are highly encouraged. As a cook, you will prepare a variety of food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes to ensure quality and consistency. You will set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling, and use a variety of utensils safely including knives. Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers is an essential part of the job.

Your culinary duties will include baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and applying diverse cooking methods to meats, vegetables, and other foods. Presentation and portion control are also key, as you will arrange and garnish plates following established guidelines. Food safety is paramount at Aramark; thus, adherence to proper food storage, sanitation, and safety standards is strictly enforced. Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, including equipment and utensils, is crucial to sustaining a safe and productive kitchen environment. Beyond technical abilities, this role requires excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude towards guests, coworkers, and clients.
