Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification as required by State or County
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Willingness to work part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Capability to lift and move heavy items, and stand for long periods
  • Tolerance for working in varying temperature conditions and using cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
  • Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Understanding and application of safe food handling techniques
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, use timelines, and meet deadlines
  • Preferred experience providing exceptional customer service
  • Preferred knowledge of preparing food for modified diets
  • Preferred ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food following recipes and instructions
  • Serve customers in various venues including catering, retail, and patient care
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  • Manage proper quantities of production with appropriate product rotation
  • Deliver patient meals and perform cashiering duties as needed
  • Stock supplies and operate automatic and manual ware-washing machines
  • Interact effectively with customers and team members
