Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification as required by State or County
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Willingness to work part-time, 24 hours per week
- Capability to lift and move heavy items, and stand for long periods
- Tolerance for working in varying temperature conditions and using cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
- Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Understanding and application of safe food handling techniques
- Ability to prioritize workflow, use timelines, and meet deadlines
- Preferred experience providing exceptional customer service
- Preferred knowledge of preparing food for modified diets
- Preferred ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food following recipes and instructions
- Serve customers in various venues including catering, retail, and patient care
- Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
- Manage proper quantities of production with appropriate product rotation
- Deliver patient meals and perform cashiering duties as needed
- Stock supplies and operate automatic and manual ware-washing machines
- Interact effectively with customers and team members
