Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year experience in food preparation preferred
- Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of laws regulations and guidelines governing post-acute care food service
- Ability to implement and interpret department policies and procedures
- Ability to perform proficiently in patient rights safety and sanitation
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with associates vendors and others
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism adhering to code of conduct and completes mandatory compliance training
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year experience in food preparation preferred
- Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities
- Knowledge of practices and procedures in post-acute care food service
- Ability to perform proficiently in patient rights and safety and sanitation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals that are appetizing in both taste and appearance and appropriate for each patient
- Knowledgeable of ordered diets as well as food consistency
- Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
- Serve meals and snacks in a timely manner
- Utilize production tools and recipes provided to prepare meals and snacks
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
