With properties in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Kessler Hospitality has built a reputation for offering guests immersive experiences infused with exquisite art, music, and cultural influences. This distinctive approach creates an approachable and welcoming atmosphere tailored to individualist travelers seeking a blend of style and comfort. The company was a founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection and launched seven iconic Autograph Collection branded hotels. Each property within their portfolio is a bold, original hotel thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity and foster unforgettable memories. From cutting-edge downtown landmarks and premier luxury lodges to bustling entertainment destinations and elite ski resorts, Kessler Hospitality’s hotels are celebrated for redefining Bohemian luxury with sophistication and elegance.

One of the jewel properties in the Kessler Hospitality collection is the AAA Four Diamond JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, located in the heart of historic Savannah on the scenic Savannah riverfront. This prime location offers guests easy access to a vibrant downtown shopping district, exceptional dining options within the hotel’s multiple restaurants, and inviting riverside bars perfect for reconnecting with friends. Guests can also enjoy guided walking tours that offer deep dives into Savannah’s rich history and culture. The hotel itself is a marvel of architectural ingenuity and historical preservation. Once a power plant, the Plant Riverside District symbolizes the beauty of progress with three unique buildings featuring chic architecture in the Power Plant, romantic design in the Three Muses, and contemporary maritime motifs in the Atlantic. Visitors are encouraged to unwind at the hotel’s luxury spa before exploring the vibrant nightlife that defines Savannah’s entertainment district.

The Cook position at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this unique hospitality experience. Reporting to the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor, the Cook plays a vital role in preparing all food items for the hotel’s restaurants, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets. This role demands adherence to standardized recipes and high standards to ensure that every dish is appealing and appetizing. The Cook is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety within all kitchen and work areas, while striving to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency and productivity. This position requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As a Cook at this esteemed hotel, you will engage in various essential tasks including food preparation prior to restaurant openings, buffet presentation, quality recognition of fresh produce and proteins, and safe food handling practices. You will be integral to banquet services and employee cafeteria operations and work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow. Emphasizing a "clean as you go" approach, you will maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout your shift and support any kitchen station in need of assistance. Familiarity with health department regulations and company food safety standards is mandatory, as is knowledge of proper storage and rotation techniques. The role offers a chance to develop and utilize culinary expertise in various cooking methods such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking, all within a prestigious, guest-centric environment. Joining Kessler Hospitality means becoming part of a team passionate about creating memorable dining experiences in an inspiring setting.
