We are currently seeking an Intermediate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is integral in supporting the kitchen operations by handling single stations efficiently while ensuring all dishes maintain Hyatt’s high standards. The Intermediate Line Cook position requires a combination of solid culinary knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates ideally will have previous hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree, although relevant experience will also be considered.

As an Intermediate Line Cook at Hyatt, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of ingredients and dishes, following established recipes and safety guidelines. The role demands attention to detail, a professional understanding of cooking ingredients and procedures, and the capacity to work under supervision while developing your skills. Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent hotel cooking experience
  • At least 2 years of line cooking experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to follow recipes and safety guidelines
  • Capability to work independently on assigned station

Job Qualifications

  • Refined verbal communication skills
  • 2 years of previous line experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to perform all basic cooking skills
  • Able to work single station in the kitchen
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following recipes and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned kitchen station
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Work efficiently under supervision while developing culinary skills
  • Assist in receiving and storing supplies
  • Ensure adherence to food quality and hygiene standards
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed
