This diverse range of operations highlights OliveFinch's commitment to quality and innovation in the foodservice industry. The company prides itself on inclusive leadership, sustainable growth, and nourishing both their guests and team members with the highest standards of hospitality.

The role of Cook 2 at OliveFinch Collective is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Kitchen Manager, classified as Crew Level 4, and eligible for tips. This position serves as a skilled and reliable member of the back-of-house kitchen team. Candidates will perform all fundamental duties of a Cook 1 and back-of-house crew member, including dishwashing, food preparation, cleanliness, and line cooking. Beyond these, the Cook 2 uses advanced cooking techniques across multiple stations, ensuring consistency and accuracy in every dish prepared. This role requires a thorough understanding of recipe execution, build guides, and presentation standards that align with OliveFinch's chef-driven ethos.

Additionally, Cook 2 team members assist in training and mentoring entry-level BOH crew and Cook 1 employees, supporting kitchen leadership in quality control measures such as monitoring food quality, portioning, labeling, and proper storage. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment compliant with food safety and sanitation guidelines is crucial. Effective communication with front-of-house and back-of-house teams is essential to ensure smooth service operations. Cook 2 team members also troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly during service to maintain efficient kitchen workflow. This hands-on position demands the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment, adapting to the fast pace and varying demands of the foodservice industry.

The Cook 2 position offers hourly pay with an added tip share, flexible scheduling options, meal discounts, and opportunities for advancement within OliveFinch Collective. The work schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, emphasizing the need for flexibility in availability. This role is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and exposure to heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals. OliveFinch Collective promotes a positive and inclusive work environment and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to at-will employment practices. Individuals passionate about culinary excellence and teamwork will find a rewarding career opportunity at OliveFinch Collective, where they can grow professionally in a supportive and vibrant hospitality group environment.
