The role of Cook 2 at Invited is integral to our culinary operations. This position is responsible for the meticulous set-up, preparation, and maintenance of a designated workstation within our kitchens, ensuring stringent adherence to high standards of food quality, preparation techniques, and presentation. Unlike a Cook 1, the Cook 2 takes on more complex culinary tasks and supervises junior team members while supporting the higher expertise of Cook 3 and kitchen leadership. Daily responsibilities include preparing complete meals encompassing soups, meats, vegetables, salads, and desserts, managing the receipt and storage of kitchen goods, and maintaining an immaculate and hygienic working environment consistent with Invited's health and safety policies.
Moreover, Cook 2 collaborates closely with the kitchen management team, including the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, to align kitchen operations with day-to-day needs and menu innovations. This position calls for strong attention to detail, an ability to adapt to dynamic work conditions, and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences that delight our members and guests.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Valid food handler certifications as required by local regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Capability to work in varying temperature environments
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Effective communication skills including talking and hearing
- Sufficient visual acuity
- Ability to climb ladders, squat, kneel, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and fold/unfold as required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set-up, food preparation, and organization of workstation
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Prepare and store all food items according to Invited standards
- Assist in preparing complete meals including soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, and baked goods
- Receive and store goods purchased by kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and kitchen
- Assist in cleaning kitchen areas, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
- Communicate with Executive Chef or Sous Chef regarding food quality or presentation issues
- Aid in menu planning, recipe development, and product testing
- Prepare and serve meals for special dietary needs
- Take charge of shifts in absence of Sous Chef or Cook 3
- Supervise and instruct junior team members
- Check supplies and groceries received
- Interact professionally with members and guests
- Support team environment and service delivery
- Resolve member and guest complaints
- Complete additional duties assigned by management
